This program is open to students who will complete grades 6-9 during the 2009-10 school year.

Admission: 

Applicants who apply by February 1 will be notified of admission decisions no later than April 15. Late applicants will be notified on a rolling basis.

Overview

Students work closely with their instructors and one another to develop an understanding of the nature of collaborative ensemble work in theatre. The session will culminate in a public showcase of their work together, using material that may consist of original work, established texts, and/or improvisations based upon the ideas of the workshop participants. Course of study includes Theatre Workshop and Acting Technique. Experience level: basic to moderate.

Audition Requirements

  • Prepare two monologues (from published plays) of your choice, with one being comic and one being serious.
  • Record the above requirements on a standard full-size VHS tape or preferably a DVD (US format).
  • Submit the audition and label the recording and its casing with the applicant's full name, division, the program notation "INT-Theatre Workshop" and pieces presented.
