This program is open to students who will complete grades 6-9 during the 2009-10 school year.

Admission: 

Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis and candidates are notified on a rolling basis. Openings are limited so early application is encouraged

Overview

The general arts program is designed for the intermediate student with an interest in a variety of art forms. Students attend six class periods per day and are encouraged to select classes from a variety of art forms.

Program Details

Creative writing allows students to explore and amplify their creative writing skills through imaginative writing exercises, short reading activities, informal discussion and free writing time. Previous experience with creative writing is not necessary.

Introduction to Acting helps students explore the fundamentals of preparation for theatrical performance. Students will engage in voice and movement exercises, improvisation, theatre games and limited work with scripted material.

One visual arts elective, one music elective and one additional elective are also available. View elective class descriptions.

Environmental studies
is a hands-on exploration of all aspects of the northwoods environment.
