This program is open to students who will complete grades 9-12 during the 2009-10 school year.

Admission: 

Students are admitted on a rolling basis.

Session 1 (June 26 - July 17) and Session 2 (July 18 - August 9)

Two-hour studio course: Photography: Basic Black and White is designed as an introduction to photography and no previous experience is required. Students will learn basic camera operation, film processing, darkroom basics and investigate photographic composition and print finishing. Students must bring a 35mm film SLR camera, five rolls of 400-speed black and white film (24-exposure) and 100 sheets of photo paper (black and white, 8x10.)

(Note: First session students who wish to continue in photography in the second session will take Photography: Advanced Large Format and Digital.)

One-hour studio course: Digital Arts will introduce the computer as a tool for image-making. Students will work with a variety of software to develop ideas and imagery. A portable storage device such as a thumb drive is required equipment.

Two-hour studio course in a three-dimensional discipline (view list)
