Session 1 (June 26 - July 17)
Two-hour studio course: Digital Imaging will explore software and techniques utilized in the creation and development of digital images. Students will learn about digital photography, image capture and scanning, color and image correction and the development of images. No previous experience is required but familiarity with Mac computers is recommended. It is recommended that students bring a digital SLR camera. A portable storage device such as a thumb drive is required equipment.
One-hour studio course: Printmaking will provide an overview of printmaking as an art form. Students will explore basic techniques for multiple image generation such as stamping, embossment, drypoint, stencil printing and monoprinting.

Session 2 (July 18 - August 9)
Two-hour studio course: Digital Design will explore the relationship between words and images. Students will use digital layout software to create projects such as broadsides, collages, sequential imagery and artistic web-pages. No previous design experience is required but familiarity with Mac computers is recommended. A portable storage device such as a thumb drive is required equipment.
One-hour studio course: Book Arts will cover basic materials and techniques associated with bookbinding. Students will explore the book as a form for presenting art-making methods or working sequentially.
